روش سهفیلتر
مرجع معمولاً پیش از ضمیر میآید، اما نزدیکترین اسم همیشه پاسخ نیست. تطابق مفرد و جمع، جاندار یا غیرجاندار بودن و معنای کل جمله را همزمان بررسی کن. ضمیرهای this و that گاهی به یک ایده یا جملهٔ کامل اشاره میکنند.

سؤال ۱: it

سؤال ۲: they

پاسخ تشریحی
It refers to the students. فاعل جمعِ عمل watered دانشآموزاناند؛ “them” به درختها اشاره دارد.
سؤال ۳: them

پاسخ تشریحی
بدون بافت بیشتر هر دو اسم جمع نامزدند و جمله مبهم است. پاسخ دقیق باید ابهام را گزارش کند، نه اینکه فقط نزدیکترین اسم را قطعی بداند.
سؤال ۴: this به یک رویداد
Text: The bus arrived twenty minutes late. This made the group change its plan. What does “This” mean?
پاسخ تشریحی
“This” refers to the bus arriving twenty minutes late, یعنی کل رویداد جملهٔ قبل.
سؤال ۵: which

پاسخ تشریحی
It refers to the blue folder; اسم مفرد بلافاصله پیش از جملهٔ وصفی است و سه جیب دارد.
سؤال ۶: he
Text: Amir called his uncle after he reached the station. Is the reference fully clear?
پاسخ تشریحی
خیر. “He” از نظر دستوری میتواند Amir یا his uncle باشد. برای رفع ابهام باید اسم تکرار یا جمله بازنویسی شود.
سؤال ۷: its
Text: The team finished its report before noon. What is the antecedent?
پاسخ تشریحی
The team. در این جمله team بهعنوان یک واحد مفرد در نظر گرفته شده و “its” با آن هماهنگ است.
سؤال ۸: one
Text: I need a marker. Do you have one? What does “one” replace?
پاسخ تشریحی
It replaces a marker و از تکرار همان اسم قابلشمارش مفرد جلوگیری میکند.
سؤال ۹: these
Text: Clean water, shade, and safe paths improve the park. These are the visitors’ main requests. What does “These” refer to?
پاسخ تشریحی
به مجموعهٔ clean water, shade, and safe paths اشاره دارد؛ ضمیر جمع کل فهرست را بازمیگیرد.
سؤال ۱۰: بازنویسی ابهام
Text: Neda gave Laleh her notebook. Rewrite it so “her” clearly means Neda.
پاسخ تشریحی
Neda gave her own notebook to Laleh. عبارت “her own” مرجع را به Neda پیوند میدهد.
